Meal planning is an incredible way to stay well-nourished with a busy lifestyle, and doesn’t have to be intricate or complicated. Spending time to consider the activities you will be doing throughout the week, the kinds of foods you have available or need, and the meals that bring you joy and satisfaction might seem like a daunting task, but is often more simple (and tasty) than you imagine.
Meal planning also allows for flexibility when your plans change. If you have already decided on the types of meals you would like to have in a week, there is no hard and fast rule stating these meals cannot be interchangeable between days! Unlike the traditional image of meal planning where you avoid eating anything not on the plan, taking a flexible approach encourages you to be active in your social life and to share eating experiences with others, without shame or guilt.

Plant-forward diets are often easy to follow as they allow a greater range of flexibility in food choices compared to fully plant-based diets, or other restrictive diets such as keto. They also help to improve inflammation, gut health, prediabetes, diabetes, high cholesterol, and arthritis. By following a plant-forward meal plan, you can continue to eat animal-based protein sources, while easing into plant-based eating, leading to a healthier you.
